Sales Engineer

We're looking for an all star Sales Engineer

OPT/NET BV is a fast growing startup and we are in search of a Sales Engineer to be part of our Dutch based team for our Amsterdam office. OPT/NET has developed a product: OptOSS AI, which is a platform for the real-time analysis of huge amounts of data. We mainly serve the telecom market, and provide our customers with real-time pragmatic insights on everything that's happening in their networks and ICT solutions. Due to the highly technical nature of our product and the needs of the clients, a Sales Engineer will play a vital role in delivering our product's capabilities & company vision towards our clients.

Our ideal candidate will work closely with the Business Development team, and will be involved in the sales process. Once a new opportunity is presented, the team will show-case our product's technological capabilities and demonstrate the business value to the client, focusing on how our product can alleviate the biggest pains they experience. The ideal candidate should be able to clearly articulate highly technical concepts to all prospective clients and audiences (technical & management) .

  • Clearly articulate technical capabilities and give technical demonstrations of OptOSS AI Partner with the sales team to generate leads
  • Find and maintain prospective clients (with Business Development team)
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining our products & services to customers
  • Confer with customers and OPT/NET CTO & developers to assess the project scope and to determine system requirements
  • Understand customer requirements and provide sales support
  • Tune and implement products to meet customer needs
  • Provide general technical support to clients
  • Tune product performance as needed to meet customer expectations
  • Assist customers with educating OptOSS AI on their anomalies
Requirements & Skills
  • Data or Computer Science degree
  • Hands on with Linux (Centos), Windows and MAC operating systems
  • Ability to present and discuss highly technical concepts with prospective leads in an easy to understand manner
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills in English (good level in Dutch will be an asset)
  • Background in IT and understanding of Sysadmin, DevOps and Operations tasks and responsibilities
  • Some Networking and telecom market experience is a plus
